Speech Pathology

Mount Lawley Hospital speech pathologists provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults experiencing communication or swallowing difficulties.

Speech pathology can support people experiencing conditions including:

  • aphasia or difficulties with language
  • dysarthria or slurred speech
  • difficulties producing speech sounds
  • voice difficulties
  • swallowing difficulties.
     

These difficulties may occur following a stroke or as a result of neurological conditions, injury or other health conditions.

Speech pathology services are available to eligible inpatients and outpatients at Mount Lawley Hospital.
