Electronic Prescriptions
Outpatient clinics at Mount Lawley Hospital (MLH) are now offering electronic prescriptions.
They are a new type of prescription. Electronic prescriptions enable the prescribing and dispensing of medicines without the need for a physical paper prescription. They are an alternative option to receiving paper prescriptions.
You may take your electronic prescriptions to either the on-site Pharmacy at MLH or to your community pharmacy.
There are certain medicines that may be difficult to find or not available by community pharmacies. When this is the case, the hospital staff will advise you and we may recommend you get your medicines from the hospital pharmacy to ensure ongoing access to medicines your doctor has prescribed.
Please ask your doctor if you would prefer an electronic prescription.
