Occupational Therapy

Mount Lawley Hospital occupational therapists support patients to maintain or regain independence and participate safely in everyday activities.

Occupational therapy may assist patients with:

  • completing personal care and daily activities
  • improving mobility and independence
  • assessing equipment or home modification needs
  • developing strategies to manage changes in physical or cognitive function
  • planning for a safe discharge from hospital.

Occupational therapists work closely with patients, families, carers and other members of the healthcare team to support recovery and help patients achieve their individual goals.
